In 2019 we bought our very first house and like any new home owner, I had so many things I wanted to do. Mainly because my taste was bigger than our budget! After the first couple projects I realized quickly that things were not going to happen very efficiently by adding endless things to my full-time traveling husband’s honey-do list. Eventually I got tired of waiting (and nagging) and started picking up the power tools myself! One by one I knocked out that project list and found so much fulfillment in designing, creating, and doing! The next 2 years were filled with a ton of passion and growth. I learned that DIY was less about knowing what you’re doing and more about having the guts to go for it! Hence my often used phrase; “I have no idea what I’m doing but I’m going to do it anyways!” I love encouraging others to take ownership of their homes and tackle that dream project list themselves. If I can do it with no experience and in between raising 3 girls, anyone can!!

“A Dabbled Dwelling” was born to inspire the average home owner to dabble in their own projects. There is so much value in learning and creating!
